Description:Thelma Barr is a quilter from Pittsburgh who moved to Dale City, Virginia in 1956. Barr began in apparel, because she loves sewing. She moved to quiltmaking through the National Quilting Association (NQA). Barr earned a blue ribbon for her first quilt that she entered in an NQA show in 1970. She enjoys quilting as a therapy and as charitable work, and works with Nellie's Needlers, the volunteer group for Woodlawn Plantation in Virginia. [show more]
