Description:Kathi Babcock learned how to quilt from a book she got when she was about 19 or 20 around the time of the bicentennial. Her mother taught her how to sew on and she views her quilting as an extension of that. She led the group that made the quilt she brought which they made for the Marquis Lafayette’s birthday. It hug in the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum in Washington, D.C, and the Musée de Toile de Jouy in France. [show more]

Description:Kathryn Anderson is a generational quilt maker, but did not start quilting until after she retired from being a teacher. She creates a booklet for her children of blocks she salvaged from her mother’s and grandmother’s quilts she had used and had worn out. Anderson likes to experiment with her quilts and enjoys the challenge that comes with pushing the boundaries. Description:Kelly Anderson come from family of quilters, and learned from her mother, Charlene “Dolly” Anderson and grandmother, Joanne Cunningham. At 11 years old she donated her quilt “My Ladybug”, which she had dedicated to her grandfather who had Alzheimer’s, to the Alzheimer Art Quilt Initiative. Anderson primarily makes smaller quilts, and shares a love of beads with her grandmother. Her favorite part about quilting is being able to express herself. [show more]
